6 Weeks!!

How far along: 6 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 122.6 this morning. Am on a mission to walk more, use my exercise ball and start going to yoga!
Maternity clothes: No, but my work pants are tighter than before, but I have gained 8.8 lbs since the end of Feb. They are definitely not loose lol!
Sleep: I love to nap. More than anything. From the moment I get up to the moment my head hits the pillow for my early evening nap, I fantasize about curling up and sleeping with Baby Kaos, Saf and Q.
Best moment this week:   On the bus on the way to work Monday morning, Mister said to me 'I love you both with all my heart." I've been waiting 11 years to hear him say that! At first I was a bit shocked, it was so unexpected to hear. At night, I told him how nice it was to hear what he said, and he said he always felt that feeling, but t=was showing it in a different way. How totally sweet, I thought about what he said all day yesterday, and I thanked God again for blessing us with this cupcake, who's allowed to experience these wonderful new feelings. I feel like a momma jungle cat already! I also loved all the naps me and Mister took this weekend at the cottage on the amazingly comfy bed.
Icky Stuff: Thankfully, none! No morning sickness yet. Just extremely tired. I asked Mister the other day why we never went out for walks in the evening, down to the beach, or just around the neighbourhood, and his answer was 'cause you've been sleeping!' I didn't realize until then how I've (*very happily*) slept away these weeks in August. Oh, and my boobs are sore lol. But not too bad.
Belly button in or out?: In. I wish I was starting out with a flatter stomach! But with everything that's happened, plus the hormones, there's was no chance of that. I wonder if my bump will show earlier or later then?
Craving: On Aug 13, I *craved* a mcd's smokehouse deluxe. I *inhaled* it. And *still* feel gross about it lol.
What I miss: Absolutely NOTHING. I'm the happiest I've been since our wedding/honeymoon in June '07.
What I am looking forward to:  Next  Thursday's appt to hear Cupcake's heartbeat, and being able to tell some close friends our great news.
Milestones: Telling both our parents on Friday nite! We were at the cottage and I had planned the idea to tell them together (my parents on the phone in Tx.) I had told them all that our appt to find out our results. So I had my mom on the phone and I said that 'Mister and I have a question for you, can Baba get on the phone too?' then I put the phone on speaker and Mister asked for the remote on the TV so he could put the volume down. I put the phone on the table and said (with the camera recording secretly) 'we have a serious question and we wanted to ask you all at the same time - we want to know - are you ready to be Grandparents...because we're *finally* pregnant!!!!!" there was a pause, then laughter - the kind of laugh of delight you only hear for very joyful things. My mom couldn't believe it! It was so good to finally share with them .My Baba said thank you for waiting to tell them at the same time as Mister's parents. My parents are coming for Thanksgiving and I'm praying that Cupcake stays strong, healthy and continues to get cozy..I can't wait to be with them during this time. It's going to be amazing. :)

Week 6: Sweet Pea

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

How your baby's growing:

This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil.
