Peed on a Stick lol!

I finally got to do tonite what I've been waiting 3 years to do - pee on a stick and see it turn positive.

I didn't even have to waitfor the 2 minutes...less than 7 seconds after I peed on in, a bright positive blue line appeared! I started yelling at Mister to come to the bathroom to see lol! So I took tons of pics of the pee stick to post laster. I actually just sat and stared at it in amazement...we are pregnant! :) :) Happy happy joy joy. And Mister kissed my belly today. Life is good. :)

6 Weeks!!

How far along: 6 weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 122.6 this morning. Am on a mission to walk more, use my exercise ball and start going to yoga!
Maternity clothes: No, but my work pants are tighter than before, but I have gained 8.8 lbs since the end of Feb. They are definitely not loose lol!
Sleep: I love to nap. More than anything. From the moment I get up to the moment my head hits the pillow for my early evening nap, I fantasize about curling up and sleeping with Baby Kaos, Saf and Q.
Best moment this week:   On the bus on the way to work Monday morning, Mister said to me 'I love you both with all my heart." I've been waiting 11 years to hear him say that! At first I was a bit shocked, it was so unexpected to hear. At night, I told him how nice it was to hear what he said, and he said he always felt that feeling, but t=was showing it in a different way. How totally sweet, I thought about what he said all day yesterday, and I thanked God again for blessing us with this cupcake, who's allowed to experience these wonderful new feelings. I feel like a momma jungle cat already! I also loved all the naps me and Mister took this weekend at the cottage on the amazingly comfy bed.
Icky Stuff: Thankfully, none! No morning sickness yet. Just extremely tired. I asked Mister the other day why we never went out for walks in the evening, down to the beach, or just around the neighbourhood, and his answer was 'cause you've been sleeping!' I didn't realize until then how I've (*very happily*) slept away these weeks in August. Oh, and my boobs are sore lol. But not too bad.
Belly button in or out?: In. I wish I was starting out with a flatter stomach! But with everything that's happened, plus the hormones, there's was no chance of that. I wonder if my bump will show earlier or later then?
Craving: On Aug 13, I *craved* a mcd's smokehouse deluxe. I *inhaled* it. And *still* feel gross about it lol.
What I miss: Absolutely NOTHING. I'm the happiest I've been since our wedding/honeymoon in June '07.
What I am looking forward to:  Next  Thursday's appt to hear Cupcake's heartbeat, and being able to tell some close friends our great news.
Milestones: Telling both our parents on Friday nite! We were at the cottage and I had planned the idea to tell them together (my parents on the phone in Tx.) I had told them all that our appt to find out our results. So I had my mom on the phone and I said that 'Mister and I have a question for you, can Baba get on the phone too?' then I put the phone on speaker and Mister asked for the remote on the TV so he could put the volume down. I put the phone on the table and said (with the camera recording secretly) 'we have a serious question and we wanted to ask you all at the same time - we want to know - are you ready to be Grandparents...because we're *finally* pregnant!!!!!" there was a pause, then laughter - the kind of laugh of delight you only hear for very joyful things. My mom couldn't believe it! It was so good to finally share with them .My Baba said thank you for waiting to tell them at the same time as Mister's parents. My parents are coming for Thanksgiving and I'm praying that Cupcake stays strong, healthy and continues to get cozy..I can't wait to be with them during this time. It's going to be amazing. :)

Week 6: Sweet Pea

Growing like crazy, baby is starting to sprout eyes, ears, nose, cheeks and chin. Those little hands and feet- still webbed like paddles- might wiggle by week's end, the heart is beating (almost twice as fast as yours!), and blood is starting to circulate.

How your baby's growing:

This week's major developments: The nose, mouth, and ears that you'll spend so much time kissing in eight months are beginning to take shape. If you could see into your uterus, you'd find an oversize head and dark spots where your baby's eyes and nostrils are starting to form. His emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and his arms and legs by protruding buds. His heart is beating about 100 to 160 times a minute — almost twice as fast as yours — and blood is beginning to course through his body. His intestines are developing, and the bud of tissue that will give rise to his lungs has appeared. His pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of his brain, muscles, and bones. Right now, your baby is a quarter of an inch long, about the size of a lentil.

5 Weeks!

We took our first belly pics today, and I weighed myself (123). Eek, I gained 8.8 lbs since Feb 24!
We have a little appleseed in there! I read a brief update on what happens during week 5 to Mister yesterday, in honour of our 2nd beta, but starting next week, I'm going to update him every Tuesday.

5 weeks seems so early..I'm grateful for every moment I am pregnant. I pray that in April, we'll be holding a healthy, happy cupcake, who has eyes the same colour as Dad.

:)

We are Pregnant :)

2nd Beta on Monday - 492!!! :)

I think we're still a little bit in shock - that we are *actually* pregnant! I texted Mister today to say ' we are preggos' so surreal!

I have to pee on a stick this week lol. I'm excited and nervous, and praying for our cupcake (zaboomafoo). We are so grateful to the universe for blessing us.

Our first ultrasound 'pregnancy ultrasound!' as said by the nurse, is scheduled for Thurs, Sept 2 at 9:30am. How cool! But of course, I'm a bit terrified and crazy happy at the same time. I want to tell everyone, but at the same time, just have this beautiful secret between me and Mister.

Mister is getting cute with my belly, I can't wait till it gets bigger...lol my boobs getting bigger should be fun too!

Please God take care of our little cupcake.
Be strong, be healthy, keep getting cozy in there!

First Beta - 165!

Mister and I held hands, sitting on the couch this afternoon after work, and listned to the message from our clinic on my voicemail. The happy nurse said the test was positive and our quantitative beta was a good 165.

I didn't cry but I got such a huge feeling of joy in my chest. Then my legs started shaking a bit, and I just sat against the couch, in shock. Happy shock. Our first ever positive pregnancy test!!!!! :):):)

Mister said he wasn't shocked or surprised, he always knew it would be positive.

Wow, ShelleyAndEggbert, you rock. Love you with all our hearts :)

Thank you God, thank you Universe for this first blessing

Beta tomorrow

So I've put it off long enough - Im going for my first beta tomorrow.

I'll head over to the hospital lab tomorrow morning, because there's a chance they can call us with results at the end of the day, or at least on Saturday. I'm going to ask the nurses to leave us a detailed voicemail so Mister and I can listen to it together. I'm freaked out just thinking of hearing the message - but, I have to be brave, for ShellyAndEggbert. Yes, no more Tadpauls lol (my Mister is happy about that lol).

I keep googling things like pregnancy symptoms, hcg beta, fatigue. Today,  I almost went for my beta in the afternoon cause I got excited and thought 'ok, let's get it done!' But Mister made me see the logicalness of waiting till tomorrow morning, cause my boss is away. I got excited about knowing, you know?

Talking to my Mom yesterday, she's thinking of coming with Baba for Thanksgiving, which will be really nice. I pray with all my heart that we'll have an amazing time, planning baby stuff. I'm excited about my Dseeing my dad, I miss them both so much, a statement I never thought I would say 5 years ago lol.

Also, I've been doing and re-doing the ivf due date calendar. Apparantly, I'm considered 4 weeks, 2 days today. Weird but cool! But I know in my heart that once I hear ShellyAndEggbert's heartbeat, then I'll really feel like this is happening.

So, here we go. Beta 1 tomorrow, and (please God!) beta 2 on Monday. Then I'd like to go for an u/s by week 7.

Please God give strength to ShellyAndEggbert, my Mister and me.

2WW is annoying!!

Kisses to my belly..to the little angel inside

As said by Dad

We hope you grow strong
We hope you are healthy
Get cozy in there :)

The 2ww is ridiculous...I just want to know!! I keep reminding myself that lots of women don't even realize they are pregnant for the first little while, no symptoms, they just go about life as normal.

I just pray that I'll be holding our babe a year from now, all healthy and happy.

Universe, please help our babe!! And please give our strength. :)

Transfer Day :)

This morning, we transfered 1 gorgeous tadpaul -4BA

4 out of 5 for level to reach full blas
B for the inner ring
A for the outer ring

To our delight, we were given a u/s pic of the tadpaul in liquid in my uterus - little one is home.

I stared at the picture in amazement, it was surreal. It's now on our shelf, beside my favourite pic of Krishna and Radha, our Om coin and the beautiful drawing Rae did for us of the mom and dad and baby.

How surreal, to know there's a little one trying to connect with me right now.
I made a little video blog on our car ride home from the clinic, and we took plenty of pics before the transfer and especially after..pics of me an Mister and me holding up our u/s pic.

:) :) :) I've been resting all day, my back is so sore lol! OK Little One, do your thing. Mom and Dad are waiting for you!!

Please God help our Little One.
